Snow levels will drop to valley floors before sunrise, bringing the possibility of a few slushy inches for the morning commute. Snow levels will rise on thursday and showers will diminish by evening. Hows traffic looking so far . Traffic running smoothly. Park. After a man lost control and drove his suv into the truckee river. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No word yet on what triggered the crash. The carson city airport is back open after a helicopter crashed near the runway saturday afternoon. Sheriff ken furlong says it crashed during take off right after its engine apparently failed. The pilot and a passenger were taken to renown with minor injuries. The airport was shut down for about an hour. The faa is investigating. Police are looking for answers in the shooting death of a man in sparks. They were called to the 7eleven on pyramid near victorian around 11 oclock friday night. Officers found a man down. He was rushed to saint marys where he was pronounced dead. It was later revealed the victim is being released at this time. Prompting the lockdown of three schools. 39yearold wesley ford is facing several charges including robbery and grand larceny. It all started with an Armed Robbery on monday at the maverick gas station on stead boulevard. Police say the next day, ford stole a truck then led them on a chase. Stead and silver lake elementary schools, as lockdown. Initially detectives said a 19yearold was a suspect. But police cleared him after talking with witnesses. Winds will increase ahead of it scary moments for 48 skiers in New Hampshire who were stuck in two tram cars 40feet in the air in subzero temperatures. The tram cars got stuck yesterday afternoon at the resort in the town of franconia. The skiers were rescued nearly three hours later after they were rappelled down to safety. According to reports, a Service Brake issue caused the tram cars to stop. Fortunately, no one was injured. And in california, two people were reportedly struck by blow darts on the Golden Gate Bridge on friday.
