L.A. Leakers this week where he spit a pair of fiery freestyles ahead of the release of
The Off-Season album. While the general consensus was he bodied both the beats for Souls of Mischief’s “93 Til Infinity” and Mike Jones’ “Still Tippin,” there was one particular line that landed Cole in some hot water.
As the Dreamville Records boss effortlessly rapped over the classic Souls beat, he made a reference to Bill Cosby that included a punchline about him infamously drugging women.
“Or who they debatin’ is better/Let’s face it, he one of the greatest/No Bill Cosby shit, but if n-ggas is sleepin’, then fuck ’em,” he spit. “Most n-ggas don’t understand me/I don’t do the GRAMMYs, I be in my jammies on sofa/Most n-ggas don’t understand me.”

J. Cole began his professional rapping career in 2007 and now is hinting at retiring with his upcoming studio album
The Off-Seasondropping this Friday. While he might be riding off into the sunset sooner than later, the North Carolina wordsmith dropped his very first freestyle with the L.A. Leakers crew, proving to his doubters that he’s very much a problem with the microphone duties.
As hosts DJ Sourmilk and Justin Credible noted, the union between the Dreamville Records honcho and the long-running radio team at Power 106 FM has been 12 years in the making. Cole didn’t waste time and smoked two classic beats in Soul Of Mischief’s “93 Til Infinity” and Mike Jones’ “Still Tippin” tracks.
Just days before his new album
The Off-Season drops, the Dreamville rapper stopped by Power 106’s L.A. Leakers to unleash a rare freestyle that has been 12 years in the making.
“Ain’t did one of these in so fu in’ long,” says Cole before flowing over Souls of Mischief’s “93 ‘Til Infinity.”
“My new crib got the Times Square view to it / My two bitches lay in my bed, I’m used to it,” he raps. “That’s your best friend givin’ me head, now you do it / See mami it’s not so weird, after I hit I cut you off like Picasso ear / Van Gogh or whoever / Goddamn Cole, you’re too clever / Like a fu in’ James Brown sample, you’re two ever, times two that’s forever.”
J. Cole Drops Freestyle To ’93 Til Infinity’ & ‘Still Tippin’
J. Cole surprisingly went to Power 106 in Los Angeles to link up with the LA Leakers Justin Credible and DJ Sour Milk to drop an exclusive freestyle to tracks such as Souls of Mischief’s “93 Til’ Infinity” and Mike Jones’ “Still Tippin”.
Cole is gearing up for the release of his upcoming album
The Off-Season which is due to be released this Friday, May 14.
