Aegon has had a partnership with the firm since 2018, and after the competition of the M&A deal, Pension Geeks will continue to work independently while having access to Aegon’s investment and resources.

Aegon says it plans to invest in a new front-end adviser portal, as the firm’s UK retail platforms suffer net outflows of £700m in the second half of 2020.
The figure was an improvement on the last six months of 2019, when £1bn flowed out from its adviser platforms – Aegon Retirement Choices and the Aegon Platform.
The business has faced a number of difficulties since a replatforming exercise that migrated 400,000 Cofunds clients onto the new Aegon platform in May 2018, but the pace of the outflows does appear to be slowing.
