how? everything that is intuitive to them is completely foreign to me. the good news is i am at no risk of becoming addicted to video games. the last point i would like to make is that the environment is really changing rapidly. 10 years ago, if we had sat down and talk about seniors and technology, a lot of people would have wondered why seniors would want to use computers, but that has shifted. over the next few years, as all of us move toward being seniors, we will not be wanting technology. we will be demanding it. the field is going to change, and more and more people are going to be here. so the ability to make technology accessible is there. those of us charged with doing this have a really important role. we have to be able to provide the tools for the technology in ways that the people can hear. i am happy to be your speaking with you because i think this is an incredibly important topic. this afternoon, there is a workshop on addressing multiple barriers for access
aircraft. china also is in long-term market for u.s. service industry. in this area, the u.s. has done a long time service. at the same time, the chinese want to prepare entrepreneurs are interested in making investments in the united states so there are more and more chinese companies coming to the united states and investments. according to chinese statistics, for the last 18 months, the chinese investment in the united states grew by 18-40% by 14%. it is up to $6 billion. the investment is still a small figure. it is growing very fast. today, our common interests have expanded and interdependence has been deepened. now, as the impact of the financial crisis still lingers, both china and the united states have committed to transforming their economic growth. their economic growth models by increasing input in some new areas like new energy, high- tech, high end manufacturing, i.t., bioscience, etc. these could translate into new corporation cooperation opportunities.
whatever we can as an entire city to get them across the high-school finish line. if we can do that, all those other numbers go away. think about the money that could be productively spent towards ending violence in the long-term here in san francisco. i cannot tell you how much i appreciate the mayor and the board of supervisors leadership and the friendship and love that is in the room. we really, really appreciate the help. thank you. [applause] thank you. adult probation department is working to create short and long term effective intervention to provide offenders with meaningful opportunities to change their lives, which will also reduce crime and victimization. we have to create a way out. our public safety and community-based organization partnership will include a continuum of employment, education, housing, mental health services that will enable individual
