CLEVELAND, Ohio The steelhead trout and walleye fishing is legendary around northern Ohio in spring. While the big trout are doing their part as they run the Northeastern Ohio rivers and streams, blustery winds have been frustrating Lake Erie’s flotilla of walleye fishermen.

If youâre thinking about heading out to explore, there are a few things to keep in mind during this weather: never fish alone, always let someone know where youâll be, never go without ice safety picks and make sure there are at least four inches of ice.
