SunStar File May 28, 2021 PRESIDENTIAL Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino assured the people of Cebu that the National Government will not file a case against Governor Gwendolyn Garcia on her Ecxecutive Order 17 that is allegedly incompatible with Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 114.
“I know for a fact that there are no plans of filing a case against the governor. I sat in a meeting together with President Duterte, ES Salvador Medialdea and Sen. Christopher Bong Go discussing this issue last night, and I personally confirmed from them that Secretaries Año, Guevarra, and Roque had no intentions of filing suit,” Dino said.

+ May 04, 2021 THE sudden change in the protocols for the Covid-19 testing on the returning overseas Filipinos (ROF) and the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) is simply unrealistic and could again be misunderstood as another mode of fleecing this government of its almost dried up resources.
The ROFs and OFWS will undergo the RT-PCR test for Covid-19 only on the sixth day upon their arrival in the country under this new whole-of-nation protocol that the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases issued. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (Owwa) pays for the OFWs stay in the hotel.
Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo
Panelo earlier took the health precaution after he was exposed to Presidential Assistant for Visayas Michael Dino who caught the virus.
In his “Counterpoint” program Monday, Feb. 22, Panelo bared that he took two coronavirus tests that both yielded negative results. The Palace official was back recording his commentary program at his office after working at home last week.
“Kaka-swab test lang natin noong isang araw, nag-swab test because of, na-expose tayo kay Secretary Mike Dino.. noong nagpa-test tayo, negative (I had a swab test the other day because I was exposed to Secretary Mike Dino… when I got tested, it was negative),” Panelo said.
