This week s drawing included 3,469,542 adult entries for the $1 million; another 154,889 Ohioans age 12 to 17 entered the drawing for a scholarship awarded in the form of money in an Ohio 529 Savings Plan. That was an increase of 41,028 adult entries and 4,702 scholarship entries from the previous week.
In order to win, people must have had at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine and have signed up for the drawing before 11:59 p.m. Sunday. Wednesday s drawing was the fifth and final drawing.
Ohio saw a 40% week-over-week increase in people age 16 and older getting a first dose in the week after the Vax-a-Million contest was announced. First doses have fallen off again, from nearly 187,000 across all age groups in that initial week to 54,733 for the week ending June 16, according to state data.
