Pharmaceutical packaging producer Sharp has purchased new land as part of a $17 million investment into its Conshohocken, Pennsylvania (USA) site.
The 4-acre plot is adjacent to Sharp’s two existing commercial pharmaceutical packaging buildings, which collectively form the organisation’s Blistering Centre of Excellence.
The land purchase will enable Sharp to add future capacity for current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) packaging services and is part of a broader $43m investment at the site, which will increase the company’s blister packaging capacity by more than 35 per cent this year.

Murals keeping New Haven streets vibrant during a difficult time

Walking the streets of the New Haven, you never know what’s around the next corner.
Chances are it’s something beautiful.
Bright, cheerful, thought-provoking or simply joyful murals have been springing up throughout the city, unslowed by the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, the pandemic may be bringing more artistic vision into the open air.
“There has been this renaissance of public art and murals coming up in the city,” said Adriane Jefferson, director of arts and cultural affairs for the city. “I think these murals do a lot culturally during a time when people feel very disconnected from the world.”
