Lisa Cooke has been elected the first woman chair of the Visual Effects Society, succeeding Mike Chambers, the society announced on Thursday.
The newly-elected board officers also include first vice chair Emma Clifton Perry, second vice chair David H. Tanaka, treasurer Jeff Okun (a past chair) and secretary Gavin Graham.
Cooke is the founder of Green Ray Media, which produces animation and VFX for scientific, medical and environmental media. Her earlier entertainment clients include Lucasfilm, Nickelodeon, Paramount and Universal.
