The Children’s Storybook Garden and Museum along with the Kings Players are partnering once again to offer a murder mystery dinner theatre on April 2 in Michaela’s Celebration Garden.
Bouncing around the volunteer scene, I find myself rubbing elbows with several high performers, especially in leadership positions. Those who put a shine on these organizations, provide a high level of community service and, most importantly, set an example for others to follow. One such leader is Lemooreâs Mike Betcher, who has an amazing track record in volunteer service. A Lemoore resident, Mike is a graduate of Lemoore High School and attended UCLA, San Fransisco State and Fresno State. His education and background as a âneighborhood handymanâ compliments his volunteer service especially in his leadership role. Mike currently serves as the president of the Sarah A. Mooney Memorial Museum in Lemoore, an organization heâs been with for seven years.Â
for a while. it was a chaotic time, i had on my green outdoor jacket. for the event i stole a jacket from mike betcher s beautiful blue cashmere top coat. that s the one i wore for what you see most of the time. what was going through my mind was you got to get it right. this is going to be around forever and you re the ohm one here on television with a satellite path back to new york, so this is a testing time in your career and it worked out pretty well. thank you so much, tom, and we can see the entire special tom brokaw at nbc news: the first 50 years this sunday, 9:00 eastern/8:00 central. here vice president mike pence quick vice president to speak at the marching for life
the only translated message was for bergdahl not to come back to afghanistan. as you can see in this video, bergdahl does not look healthy. he looks pale and is shaky. let s talk about this with our senior international correspondent nic robertson along with former cnn war correspondent mike betcher who has a document out called the hornet easiness hornet s nest. nic, i ll start with you. what stands out in this video? reporter: this is not the pre 9/11 taliban. today s taliban has a slick media operation. it should be no surprise to anyone that they released video of bowe bergdahl s handover.
more than likely there were a lot of nerves out there. he wanted to be represented difficult in case this was an ambush. he shook with his left hand so i believe he could have his right shooting hand free. if you re in a helicopter on an air assault and people with rpgs around you, that takes nerves of steel to fly into that knowing they could bring down that helicopter in a flash. it s funny. on that video the taliban makes much of this left-handed handshake saying the american troops were so flustered that they shook hands with the wrong hand. i can certainly see your point, mike. going in to air assaults like that and knowing there are rpgs around, when you can actually see them in the open, and that was the intent of having it in this barren area, it took
