Some gunmen have again reportedly attacked the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Imo State, killing one person. The gunmen numbering about 20 stormed the INEC office at Ahiazu local government headquarters in two SUVs on Saturday. The hoodlums reportedly wore attire suggesting they were members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN). ESN is the militant wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a secessionist group seeking to break away from Nigeria.
Gunmen have reportedly killed four police orderlies attached to Imo State former governor, Ikedi Ohakim during an attack on his convoy. Ohakim’s convoy was reported attacked at Oriagu in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of the state on Monday evening.
