The Fighting Hawks outrebounded Denver, 119-74, including 61 rebounds last Friday, the most by UND in a conference game in the DI era. Julia Fleecs has reached the plateau five times this season, the most by a Fighting Hawks since
Olivia Lanerecorded double-doubles as the trio combined for 52 points and 35 rebounds. Fleecs paced the Fighting Hawk offense with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Mikayla Reinke once again had a solid night running the point, dishing six assists with nine rebounds and three steals.
After two quick three-pointers that put Denver on top by 10 with 6:58 left in the first half, UND closed the second quarter on a 13-3 run to tie the game at 31. The Fighting Hawk defense only allowed three field goals and nine points in the quarter.
Jarnot drained three shots behind the arc in the first quarter to score nine in the first half, and Fleecs scored 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting in the second quarter alone.
DENVER, Colo. (UND Athletics)- Despite its best effort at the buzzer, the University of North Dakota (1-15, 1-9 Summit) played its fourth overtime game of the season at Denver (5-10, 3-4 Summit) to set a new school-record; however, the Fighting Hawks could not overcome the Pioneers hot three-point and free-throw shooting as they fell, 86-79.
Julia Fleecs scored a season-high 24 points and matched a career-high 16 rebounds, while Olivia Lane added 11 points, and Maggie Manson scored 12 on four treys. DU’s Meghan Boyd finished with 27 points. UND outrebounded Denver, 61-44, to record a new season-high in the category.
While the numbers were flowing for North Dakota, who also drained eight three-pointers and season-best 30 field goals, the offense was at peak efficiency with Mikayla Reinke running the point as the senior captain tallied nine points and a career-high nine assists.

Melissa Leet scored a career-high 18 points at South Dakota State on Saturday night, finishing with eight rebounds and 6-of-8 from the field. The 6-6 senior also hit both of UND’s three-point field goals in the game. The Fighting Hawks lead The Summit League in rebounding with 41.1 boards per game. North Dakota is the only team in The League with an average of over 40.
