ABERDEEN – Mikayla Arechigo has been named as the new girls basketball head coach at Aberdeen Central High School.
Arechigo has been the freshman coach and has been on the Golden Eagles’ staff for six seasons. She helped coach 2016 and 2018 AA state championship teams.
Arechigo replaces Dawn Seiler, who recently stepped down as Aberdeen Central’s head coach to become the school’s athletic director. Seiler is the all-time winningest girls high school basketball coach in South Dakota history with 629 victories.
