According to the preliminary results of the Estonian parliament elections held on Sunday, the Reform Party won 37 seats in the new composition, three more places than in the previous composition.
Long before the people of South Estonia became upset by the plan to expand the Nursipalu army training ground, the state has, apparently without much excitement, acquired plots of land lying on the Rail Baltic route which runs through Estonia. However, three individuals have so far resisted here as well and sued the expropriation of the land.
The forming of the divisional structure agreed at the summer NATO summit is at least reaching legal formalization. Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur (RE) wants to enter the government in the next few weeks by changing the statutes of the defense forces. As a labor victory, it was confirmed that the United Kingdom will assign one brigade to defend Estonia.
Wind farm developers fear that the state's radical plan to speed up the introduction of wind energy may result in the opposite – slow down the construction of wind farms. The most serious point of contention is the state's desire to start looking for, researching and mapping plots of land on which to build wind farms. These are called priority development areas.
