Rodrigo Santoro (who recently appeared in
Westworld and
Álvaro Morte (best known for his work in
La casa de papel) will portray Magallanes and Elcano in an international coproduction developed by Amazon Prime and RTVE. Filming will kick off on 26 April in the Basque Country and Navarre, before setting a course for Madrid, Seville and the Dominican Republic.

Amazon Prime Video and RTVE are set to start filming their adventure drama series, Boundless in the Basque country and Navarre from Monday, 26 April, before moving to Madrid, Seville and the Dominican Republic.
Directed by Brit Simon West, Boundless will tell the incredible story of the first sailing trip around the world in 1519, involving 239 sailors, only 18 of whom returned seriously unwell, as they’d sought to find a new route to the island of spices.
Based on a script by Patxi Amezcua (Desaparecidos, Gun City, The Warning), the series will run across four 60 minute episodes.
