One Year Ago: My Experience Riding with the Krewe of Centaur
Hard to believe we won t be experiencing Mardin Gras parades this year.
I don t know about you, but for me, this was my last life experience prior to COVID-19. Last February, we were right in the heart of Mardi Gras season, and COVID-19 seemed more like a joke at that time, rather than a forever life-altering pandemic. Surely none of us expected anything as serious as we received just a few short weeks later.
Yet, here we are, one year later.
I certainly miss Mardi Gras this season, and my Facebook memories rubbed it in quite a bit today. It did make me smile quite a bit re-living last year s awesome ride, playing music atop the parade s title-sponsor float. This was one year ago, written shortly after my first official ride with the Mighty Krewe of Centaur.
