DES MOINES Xavier Luna, a Spencer sixth grade student, after quarterbacking his team to a Midwest Youth Football League championship last fall, stood atop the podium at the AAU State Boys Wrestling Tournament in Des Moines. The tournament, conducted Feb. 24-25 at the Wells Fargo Arena, saw Xavier standing alongside his coach and father, Ramon Luna, just as he had done last October on MYFL Championship Weekend in Sioux Rapids.

WORTHINGTON Four-sport athlete Terbuto “Terbo” Ochothow has excelled on the basketball court, football and soccer fields, and on the track, but the graduating Worthington High School senior is proud of the fact that he’s also excelled in the classroom.
Raised by a single mother as one of seven sons, Ochothow grew up with the advice that if he wants to succeed in sports, good grades would be needed to earn scholarships necessary to go to college.
