BEACON FALLS – Peter “Pete” A. Christensen, 66, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at MidState Medical Center.
Peter was born March 1, 1955 in Waterbury, the son of the late Martin and Concelia (Barbieri) Christensen. Peter spent his career serving others as a telecommunicator and 911 dispatcher.
A lifelong resident, he was extremely dedicated to the town of Beacon Falls. Peter was a longtime member and former deacon of the Beacon Falls Congregational Church. He served on the Board of Education, the library board of directors, and clerked for several other town committees.
Peter was a 46-year member of Beacon Hose Company No. 1, where he held countless roles in the department, including firefighter, EMT, EMS director and chairman of the scholarship committee. While Peter loved his work and his town, he loved his family most of all.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home) Mildred L. Domenica Rossi, 99, departed from this life on March 25th, 2021, peacefully at home in the presence of her family.
Mildred was born in Windsor Locks, CT on January 11, 1922 to the late Andrew and Maria (Sartori) Rossi.
She was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School, becoming a secretary extraordinaire.

She began her career with the former C.F. Wooding Co. and the Wallingford Board of Education. Mildred then served as the executive assistant for four former presidents at Meriden-Wallingford Hospital (Mid-State) from 1952, until her retirement in 1987.
