A climate change conference has inspired students throughout the North Island to use their voices. Last month almost 200 students from the lower North Island.
A small Taranaki town is pushing ahead with lowering fixed speed limits near schools, despite the government's intention to introduce variable speed limits around schools by the end of the year.
The new speed limits are fixed, meaning that drivers will need to observe the limits 24 hours a day. This keeps school students, staff, and families safe on the streets outside of drop-off and pickup times.
