Weston school and health officials are organizing Weston High School s graduation to take place Friday, June 4, on the Town Green, with rain dates of June 5 and 6.
Signs will be disbursed around the Town Green reminding attendees to wear masks and maintain social distancing. The public is asked not to come this year unless they are families of a graduate. The event will be televised by Weston Media Center.
State guidance recommends only six guests per family for graduation events.
“We think that we’re in a really good place, and I think that we are going to really be able to celebrate the Class of 2021, which is really nice, Superintendent Midge Connolly told the School Committee on May 10. They’ve worked really hard and certainly deserve it.”

School administrators are aiming to get all Weston students currently in the hybrid model back into school buildings five days a week starting March 15. We value our relationship with our teachers, Superintendent Midge Connolly said at last week s School Committee meeting, and have been in conversations with them before break, during break, talking about increasing in-person learning time, and we will continue those conversations. We feel confident that we can come to an agreement very soon.”
At the Middle and High schools, the social distancing will be a minimum of 3 feet, with 6 feet of distancing to the greatest extent possible, Connolly said, which will not be very often. Teachers will have 6 feet of distancing at the head of their classrooms from students.
