after spending their first night at home with their new son, the duke and duchess of cambridge has arrived in kate s hometown of buckleberry. earlier the queen arrived at kensington palace to meet her first great grandson for the first time as well. chris jansing is joining us. chris, what details do we know to kate s hometown? what have you heard? well, look. i m outside the old boot in which is one of the middleton family s favorite places. kate grew up in the eng countli countryside and will has spent a lot of time here. he is very close to her parents. this is truly a break from royal tradition you would take the third in the line to the throne 48 hours after being born and bring him out here. i think it shows you how comfortable the palace is with the middletons but also how close will is.
obviously, it s going to be a huge part of his life. it will have an influence, of course, this is a prince and future king, but i think that influence is going to come in later. i think for those infant years it s going to be the couple and the middletons. weekends at the middleton family home, but once the child becomes a teenager, there will be training sessions here at buckingham palace, that constitutional training will come into effect, just as it did for william. how do you think they ll make their mark? the image of kate pushing the cart after the wedding, that was one of the iconic images that everyone said she is normal, just like us. how do you think they are going to make that same mark when it comes to their child? ? i wonder if it s going to be pushing in one of the royal gardens. we saw her walking her dog, no reason she wouldn t walk her pram. she s just like us. also private people and protective and how concerned they will be about their
