(Newburg)- Construction of a new bridge in Southern Maryland could be on hold. It comes as a federal loan requested by the state to help fund the new Nice/Middleton Bridge has not been approved. The 200-million-dollar loan was enough to cover about half of the costs for the bridge. As of now, the bridge is expected to be ready for travelers coming in-and-out of Maryland by 2023.
