Songs of The Susquehanna CD offers 20 voices for the Pa. river

Undaunted by the elements, for soon this too will pass

So is this fleeting moment of a Susquehanna Silent Night”
So flows the first verse of “Susquehanna Silent Night,” a song Bill Dann submitted for the 2021 “Songs of The Susquehanna” project of the Middle Susquehanna RiverKeeper.
A CD of 20 songs compiled from the project, which 36 performers submitted 46 original songs, was released recently by the Riverkeeper. They were selected by the 1,152 votes cast on the Riverkeeper website by about 200 people.

The owners of the Montour Power Plant signed a settlement agreement with a clean water organization last week which pledges to close a coal ash waste disposal site and donate a 165-acre lake, 640-acre nature preserve and $1.2 million to conservation efforts.
