An Ohio teacher s aide has been arrested and charged with rape after authorities alleged that she sexually assaulted a middle school student.
Mandy Davis was a part-time teacher s aide at the Teays Valley West Middle School in Commercial Point. The 33-year-old woman was taken into custody on Wednesday and was charged with gross sexual imposition and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor aside from rape, People reported.
In a statement, the Teays Valley Local Schools said that their practice is not to publicly discuss the specific facts since it is a pending personnel matter involving a district employee. They confirmed that the Ohio teacher s aide has been notified that the Board of Education no longer needs her services.

Brianna Barry was selected by the Brocton Middle School faculty and staff as Student of the Month for December. Brianna is currently an eighth-grader at Brocton and resides in Portland and Sheridan with her parents, Laura Barry-Lindquist and Patrick Lahnen.
Brianna is a remarkable student.
She currently holds an overall average of 98%. She plays flute in Band and sings soprano in Chorus.
She is interested in cheer and gymnastics. She has her own air track for gymnastics and anticipates joining Core Athletics.
Brianna’s favorite class is Science. She hopes to one day study Interior Design. She particularly enjoys decorating her room at her Dad’s house.

The Fort Dodge Community School District has named its students and employee of the month for December. This program recognizes one elementary, one middle school and one high school student, as well as one staff member monthly for exceeding expectations.
Huxley Hagar is the Elementary Student of the Month. Kirstie Ron and Peggy Larson nominated Hagar. They said Hagar comes to school ready to learn every day. He is engaged in learning and continually shows perseverance, even when trying something new. He has embraced virtual learning and works hard to continue to learn during this unique time. Hagar does what is asked of him and reaches out to support other students who may be having a hard time. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to students or staff.
