CJ Express Expansion Signs on Golden Pass LNG for Additional Supply
A Midcoast Energy LLC subsidiary has brought the CJ Express pipeline expansion into service and inked a firm transportation deal with the Golden Pass liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project in Texas to provide additional feed gas to the terminal when it is complete.
The CJ Express was sanctioned last year. It added compression and pipeline facilities to multiple locations on Midcoast’s existing East Texas pipeline system. In addition to increasing Midcoast’s Clarity pipeline transmission capacity to Gulf Coast demand centers by 1 Bcf/d, the expansion increases gathering capabilities in the Shelby Trough area of the Haynesville Shale.
