Mid-Ohio Valley schools adjusting to life in the COVID era | News, Sports, Jobs

cblack@newsandsentinel.com WEST UNION Area school districts are continuing to adapt to COVID-19 and are working to vaccinate teachers. In Pleasants County, remote learning days were moved to Fridays to allocate time for teachers and staff to receive their shots. Students will attend in person Monday through Thursday and will have remote learning on Friday. Jackson County is labeled red on Gov. Jim Justice’s map so high school students began remote learning this week. “When there is a change of the WVDHHR map changing the status of in-person instruction at the high school level, an announcement will be made through our calling system, website and social media outlets,” Jackson County Schools said.
