Glasgow’s newest vintage store opens its doors today with some prized mid-20th century gems synonymous with the city. With the fascination and interest in retro pieces never seeming to wane and a surge in upcycling pre-loved pieces in lockdown, the new vintage addition could do well. An unusual pair of Morris of Glasgow chairs, with arms, in laminated wood and original boucle fabric will be on display made by Morris Chair Co Ltd, Carmyle. Other rare items include a large Delphis vase, decorated by Anita Lawrence who worked for Poole Pottery from 1972-74. It is a distinct fiery, fluid abstract decoration in red, orange, umber, turquoise with black outlines on a red ground.
