Microsoft has kicked off the Xbox Spring Sale on the Microsoft Store, slashing the prices across a wide range of games on the console and PC store, but some users (myself included) have also been surprised by Microsoft Gift Cards from the company, with store credit to the tune of £8/$10.
The free store credit is not an across the board reward for all users, but is being handed out to users seemingly at random – they’ve done similar in the past. If you’re lucky, it will appear as a message from Xbox Live (mine arrived at 10PM last night) and can be used across Games, Add-ons and Movies on the Microsoft Store. If you’re on your console, you can redeem it right then and there, or you can head to Xbox.com/RedeemCode. Codes are valid for redemption until 30th April 2021, and must be spent within 90 days before they expire.

You can earn up to 10,000 Microsoft Rewards points for earning Gamerscore this month.
The number of reward points you earn matches how much Gamerscore you earn, up to 10,000 points.

It s one of the best Xbox features that you might not be using, and during the month of January, you can easily earn quite a few points. A new Microsoft Rewards challenge will earn you one Microsoft Rewards point for every Gamerscore point that you earn, with a limit of 10,000 Rewards points.
