MANILA - Creamline will kick off its title defense against Petro Gazz when the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference unfolds at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Feb. 4. The Smashers will meet Reinforce Conference champion Angels at 6 p.m. while Akari and Choco Mucho will square off in the first game at 4 p.m. Creamline boasts of an intact line-up while Petro Gazz has acquired three players to beef up its roster. "It will be an exciting match," Smashers head coach Sherwin Meneses said on Saturday when asked about their opening-day duel with the Smashers. SMART has relaunched NBA.com Philippines which aims at providing local perspective to the world’s most popular basketball league.
The digital service provider and the NBA announced the relaunch in a virtual press conference on Thursday as part of their new partnership to bring the games to a wider Filipino audience.
Cignal, Smart, and TV5 inked a deal with the NBA to broadcast the games in their different platforms starting with the bubble last year.
“We’re excited to partner with Smart and relaunch NBA.com/Philippines as we continue to expand our digital footprint in the country,” said Ramez Sheikh, NBA Asia head of global content and media distribution.
