As part of his tour of South Florida, American Legion National Commander James “Bill” W. Oxford visited the American Legion Post 123 which serves both Sanibel and Captiva on Feb. 8.
Arriving just after 2:30 p.m., he spent an hour and half meeting legion, squadron and auxiliary members, as well as visiting with patrons. Post 123 Commander Tim Moore reported that there were lots of photo ops. The highlight of the visit was Oxford sharing his vision and priorities for the American Legion in front of an audience of over 20 before departing.
