DEARBORN, Mich. – Michigan state Representative Abdullah Hammoud says he has tested positive for the coronavirus.
On Jan. 8, Rep. Hammoud released a statement saying he has tested positive for COVID-19, but he is feeling well.
Today, I tested positive for COVID-19. Thankfully, I am feeling well and recovering at home. In the interim, my team and I will continue to work remotely.
Although the Michigan Legislature is scheduled to reconvene next week, I will return to session once it is safe for me to do so. I believe that transparency, trust, and safety continue to be paramount.
