John Thune (R-SD), has put forth a new bipartisan bill that seeks to help farmers struggling as a result of bad weather. The Cover Crop Flexibility Act of 2021 will ensure that farmers will not incur crop insurance penalties if bad weather hinders them from planting crops in a given season, according to Stabenow’s office.

BY U.S. Senate News Release | January 3, 2021 Courtesy of Thinkstock intst WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senators Gary Peters (D-MI), John Thune (R-SD) and Pat Roberts (R-KS), who serves as the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture, Forestry and Nutrition Committee, today applauded the signing into law of their bipartisan legislation to ensure the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) chief drone policy committee includes representation for agriculture, forestry, and rural America. The  Drone Advisory Committee for the 21 st Century Act will ensure that the FAA provides representation for local government officials, including those from county and tribal governments, on the Drone Advisory Committee (DAC).
