Many of them let parents know how frustrated they are with how it was handled by school leadership. Some blame a lack of communication - others say it was a cover-up.
Chalkbeat requested data on districts spending plans from the Mich. Dept. of Education in May, but the state said it would need time to screen the data.
"We don’t want anybody running under the pretense that they are something that they are not," Lograsso said. 'The school board races across the state, across the nation especially in Grosse Pointe have been really, really heated. Every single point about every candidate counts."
