According to portsmouth police, officers in chesapeake contacted them to assist them in the highspeed chase on George Washington highway just before 1230. Police confirm to us the chase ended in portsmouth, when officers lost the suspect. Chesapeake dispatch could not tell us where the chase started nor where it ended. Throughout the morning, well continue to check in with police to find out why officers began chasing the suspect and who theyre looking for.
