Bear Grylls has praised organisers for inspiring hope after a challenging year.

TV adventurer Bear Grylls is urging the people of Weston to join the ‘Christmas Carols of hope’ celebration on the world famous Grand Pier tonight (Tuesday).
In one of the most challenging years for generations, ROC WSM aims to bring a little hope and light to our communities with a state-of-the-art online service filmed on Weston Grand Pier to go live tonight at 5.30pm and 7.30pm.

Parents were contacted by Windwhistle Primary to give their child s wish-list for the Axentis Michael Charitable Trust to gift each student with a surprise present.

Around 400 Weston primary school students received surprise presents from a charity trust before breaking up for Christmas.
The Windwhistle Primary School was handed the donation by Grand Pier director, Michele Michael on behalf of the Axentis Michael Charitable Trust (AMCT).
The trust was founded in memory of businessman, Axentis Michael, who died in 2003 - and it has since raised and donated more than £1.5million for people in and around Weston.
