After Doris Handlos, of Audubon, one of Pearl Quandtâs six children, received a snowflake ornament in memory of her mom during Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Centerâs fifth annual holiday remembrance service, she knew just the place where it needed to be displayed.

The ornament is on the Christmas tree where Dorisâ brother Daryl Quandt, and his wife, Kris, live 1.5 miles east and one-quarter mile south of Willey. Thatâs the farm where Pearl and her husband, Harold, lived most of the 62 years of their married life.
