A WA Police officer who speaks nine different languages and volunteered his own time at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure multicultural communities were informed has taken out the highest individual honour at the Nine News Police Excellence Awards.
Senior Constable Sam Lim of the Community Engagement Division received multiple nominations for his exemplary service and dedication to WA’s diverse community groups and on Thursday morning was announced the winner during a ceremony at Crown Perth.
