National Adoption Month is held every November to celebrate families who have grown through adoption, and to bring awareness to the need for more adoptive families to care for the large number of children in the foster care system.
The K-State Wildcat Extension District strives to create educational and developmental programs and provide research-based information to the communities in Crawford, Labette, Montgomery, and Wilson counties, and last week, it added Michelle Broxterman, family and child development extension agent, to its team.
