Plymouth officials still trying for local COVID-19 vaccine site

The limited availability of vaccines in Massachusetts has been a major issue. At the present time, the state is only receiving 100,000 doses each week to treat the estimated 1 million residents who are currently eligible – twice, since this is a two-round vaccination process. “We may, in the future, have a local vaccine option in the town,” Arrighi said. “However, that is in the early stages of planning and there is no guarantee that will occur. Social outreach workers at the senior center are assisting residents make appointments and answering their questions.
