GRANVILLE – The Village of Granville has a new police chief. Micheal Padilla, a former Oglesby Police Sergeant, was sworn in Tuesday night at Granville’s Village Hall. Former Police Chief Kevin Moore officially retired with 30 years of commitment to the village under his belt. Chief Padilla, originally from the LaSalle-Peru area, worked for the Oglesby Police Department for 14 years.
Chief Padilla says he has some big shoes to fill and appreciates everything former Chief Moore has done to help him get acclimated.
