LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The city of Burbank has put up a chain-link fence around a restaurant which has repeatedly defied COVID-19 mandates, while people continued to demonstrate on both sides of the issue.
The fence was erected Saturday around the business at 2623 W. Magnolia Blvd. to prevent the owners of Tinhorn Flats Saloon & Grill from reopening with unsafe conditions due to a court-approved shutoff of electricity. A preliminary injunction granted Friday prevents the restaurant from operating without a County Health Permit and City Conditional Use Permit, said Burbank police Lt. Derek Green.
The demonstrations have continued for several days, and crowds of dozens of demonstrators have strained police resources, especially during busy weekend nights, Green said.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A judge today issued a preliminary injunction against a Burbank bar and grill that has repeatedly defied orders to close, telling the lawyers it was apparent that a pause he took on March 26 to see if the parties could settle was unfruitful.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff told attorney Mark J. Geragos, on behalf of the Tinhorn Flats Saloon & Grill on Magnolia Boulevard, that he was welcome to file a motion to modify the injunction, which is tailored along the same lines as the temporary restraining order the judge imposed against the Western-themed watering hole on March 8.

LOS ANGELES, CA A judge Monday granted a temporary restraining order allowing the city of Burbank to enforce its closure order of a local restaurant that had continued offering outdoor dining service during the coronavirus pandemic despite the revocation of its health and conditional-use permits.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff issued the TRO against Barfly Inc., the operating company of the Tinhorn Flats Saloon & Grill on Magnolia Boulevard.
Restaurant attorney Mark Geragos argued that the city was shutting down a business and taking away the livelihood of its owners without giving them sufficient notice of the lawsuit.
