To the Editor: For weeks Bennington county has had a higher infection rate than the United States and even New York City for COVID-19.
It is because of the perfect storm of a number of factors. We have our town meeting elections coming up Tuesday, March 2, which provides another opportunity for greater spread as people gather to vote at the Town offices.
Fortunately, we have an alternative way to vote so we do not have to go there in person. Please vote by mail in this upcoming election. It is an easy way to reduce exposure for not only ourselves, but for our town office officials, justices of the peace and other election day volunteers. Voting by mail is a simple way to be a good Vermont neighbor.
