PANAMA CITY Panama City Police are looking for an inmate who escaped from a Department of Corrections facility this morning.
Michael A. Pizzuto, 31, who is 6 feet tall, 232 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes, escaped from the Florida Department of Corrections Community Release Center at 3609 Highway 390, a police department press release states.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Pizzuto had cut his electronic monitor and fled the area on foot. Police immediately began a search with help from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.
Pizzuto has active warrants for escape, tampering with an electronic monitoring device and violation of community control.

LYNN HAVEN An inmate who escaped in Bay County four days ago was captured Wednesday afternoon.
Michael A. Pizzuto, 31, was caught in the 3200 block of Country Club Drive in Lynn Haven, a Panama City Police Department press release states. Also, Lauren Luton and Anthony Ricks were arrested and charged with aiding an escaped prisoner.
Pizzuto escaped after he cut his electronic monitor and fled from the Department of Corrections Community Release Center on Highway 390 early Saturday morning. The Panama City Police Department, along with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the Lynn Haven Police Department began searching for Pizzuto immediately.
