A crucial match in the Northern Ireland Women’s FA Championship promotion chase saw St James Swifts take maximum points.

Goals from Molly White and Jodie Shannon were enough to give St James Swifts three massive points in the hunt for promotion as they defeated rivals Mid Ulster 2-0. This win saw them move three points clear in second place in the standings.
Ballymena were the big scorers last week as they dismantled Comber Rec 6-1, despite going behind to a first minute Shannon McCullough strike. United fought back well with hat-tricks from both Megan Henry and Chelsea Millar securing the points.

A well-known Derry school principal retired today.
Rosemary Walsh has been principal of St Therese s Primary School for a significant number of years.
However, she said an emotional goodbye to the school today.
Mrs Walsh put a video on the school s Facebook praising the pupils for being so special .
In recognition of the strong links that exist between the Lenamore school and the local community, members of the Leafair Community Association visited the school to present Mrs Walsh with flowers to mark her retirement.
