Prince georges county police say the victim was not in a crosswalk when the truck hit him. The truck kept going and turned at the intersection. At about 6 20 a dump truck was coming out of this business making a right turn, going southbound on kennelworth avenue when he struck the individual walking across the street. He did keep going just a short ways. He was going to get some gas. Once he got out of the truck, he realized, that, oh, he hit someone, so he came immediately right back to the scene. All three murdered inside where people go to play the numbers, buy cigarettes and soft drinks. Customers say theres a dangerous mix of drugs and guns in the neighborhood. Theres way too many drugs around here. Most of the killings are drug related. Its a major problem. So when you combine the prevalence of drugs with the high prevalence of guns, its a very bad combination.
