the question is raised, why did the president of the united states praise vick s boss officer giving him a second chance? a fair and balanced debate on that minutes away. we hearing reports the claws came out when one customer was not happy with the way things went at the nail salon. two minutes to the manicure mayhem. i was really hurt because i felt like my rights was violated. she grabbed my hands, then when she got up, she had a ching that she clipped the nails with. that s what she hit me on my lip with.
president of the philadelphia eagles praising him for giving michael vick a second chance, but according to the white house, it did happen. peter king broke the story and traveling to the vikings postponed game. he said that so many people who serve time never really get a fair second chance and lurie told me that the president was very passionate about it. reporter: he was sentenced to prison for his role in a dog fighting ring, and to the horror, it included the death of dogs caused by drowning and hanging and electrocution, and just how strongly that case resonates with people can be sent in the photo sent to me by michelle lamont of foxy paws boutique where they say that customers who hate the eagles get a 20% discount, and others are not so much angry as mystified. it is interesting to see the
megyn: r.l., the thing is the country had the debate about whether he should be provided this public second chance when the eagles hired him, and he has been given that chance, and he has thrived, there s no question, as a football player on the field. but the president has a very big microphone, and when he speaks, people pay attention. so the criticism is to specifically praise giving michael vick this kind of a chance in some way excuses, perhaps, what michael vick did or sends some sort of a message to people that it s not that bad. in other words, would the president do this if somebody had raped and tortured a human being? of course he wouldn t. and are animals so much less worthy? no, i say i think the president was correct when he said it was condemnable what he did. but now since he s such a public figure, he can do more to help anybody else who might be in
vick, but anyone else who s paid their price should be free to redeem their lives. megyn: that s what all of the michael vick supporters have been saying, he did the time, that s it. there s nothing wrong with the president praising a team for allowing him to have a second chance. you can redeem yourself after you do something like this. i think he said that if he can help more dogs than he s harmed, then he s on the right track, and i agree with that. but he doesn t need to be commended for it. right now look around new york city. we just had a blizzard. we have men cleaning up the streets, these are men who were in prison or drug addicted or commits crimes or homeless, nobody s giving them a high-five. so why should a celebrity or sports figure who did such horrible, horrible, inhumane things be commended? many and he s making millions of dollars now. the fact is that sports stars and celebrities can get away with anything, and they re always going to be glorified.
