historic vermont covered bridges and waters. the water rose so quickly that people had to grab what they could and run for safety. everyone s home are pretty much on the water. and massachusetts, the storm covered the beachfront town of westport and debris. dozens of boats were all washed away, east haven could that it suffered heavy heavily damaged they will have to be rebuilt. in new york city, the damage was relatively minor, a subway train started moving this morning and fire department crews cleaned up downed trees in the west village across the hudson in new jersey, a military truck tried to make it through the high water and some residents got a ride through out the water and a front loader. and firefighters stood in waist deep water as they tried to save a burning home. it will take days for the airline industry to get hundreds of thousands of stranded travelers to their destinations in the aftermath of the storm. airports in new york, boston and philadelphia ar
