DISAPPOINTED that their villages do not have a festive display, residents of Toft Hill and Etherley have teamed up to put on a competition to encourage more homes to be decorated.
Villagers Donna Hopper and Sharon Walker decided to start the challenge after people commented on social media about the lack of festive street lighting.
Mrs Hopper, who has been lighting up her home for about 25 years, said: “All we have is on the community centre, but it is set back so you can’t see them.”
