Police and Montrealers working together

I’d like to fine tune Mayor Coderre’s good initiative to provide more police for better public safety:

My brother, my sister, my homeless

There should never have been a controversy between Montreal and Quebec concerning a free pass for the homeless during a curfew which took a court judgement to rule in their favour. Nor should they find themselves without heat in the cold of winter same as many decades past. I offer this two-point solution for which Quebec and Montreal should share responsibility: 1. Provide a weatherproof identification card with photo and registered file number. It would give them a curfew exemption no questions asked, any other necessary exemptions thereafter and priority for Covid-19 vaccines; it would provide free STM transport and free meals at soup kitchens; it could be used to book a reservation at a shelter for the evening online or by phone so space will remain available until they get there; and the file number would immediately facilitate the status of their mental and physical health so police can show compassion before erratic behavior escalates and first responders can immediately dia

Reporting Covid statistics by age

Quebec should report daily statistics for 7 specific age groups from young to very old. It should list online early each morning a spread sheet detailing the following for each: amount of Covid cases and the total tests done; the ratio between the 2 and whether the average ratio was up or down in the last 7 days; how many infected reported no symptoms; how many died. Unfortunately this the CAQ has not publicly provided since the beginning. Such information would more fully impress every Quebecer of every age group to be concerned with whom they contact and where they go, to follow all health directives and to more likely get tested. It would provide the media with maximum specific information to question Legault, Arruda and Dubé at briefings later in the day, demand needed changes without assigning blame and promote better initiatives to flatten the curve sooner than later.
