The sounds of whizzing bowling balls, pins knocking to the ground and kids squealing in delight is typical background noise for any band playing a set at the Lanes at Sea Girt, a unique venue where colorful lazer lights illuminate a stage that stretches across four bowling lanes.
That atmosphere will be missed by many come May 17, when the beloved business shuts down after 60 years in operation.
